His second single, “Aurora”, featuring Jeff Kashiwa and Brendan Rothwell, the follow up to “Sunset Walk”, was written for his daughter and deals in absence and return — moments when “the whole house lights up” when she arrives. Much like the way an Aurora lights up the night sky, her presence buoys his mood. The melodic warmth is palpable throughout. The string section adds another layer of depth in the arrangement.
