Southern California artist, author, and storyteller Sy Baldwin continues his creative journey with his latest musical release, “Lil of This” featuring Nils. Sy Baldwin has never limited his creativity to one format. A musician, children’s book author, storyteller, and community builder from San Gabriel Valley, Baldwin has spent years finding different ways to connect with audiences. His latest release, “Lil of This,” featuring smooth jazz guitarist and producer Nils, adds another entry to that evolving body of work. The 2026 single, written and performed by Baldwin in collaboration with Nils, marks his latest release after years of developing his work as a singer and songwriter, adding another chapter to a musical catalog. For Baldwin, those creative worlds naturally overlap. His approach to songwriting often begins with a feeling, message, or melody before developing into lyrics and production. He draws inspiration from personal growth, family, community, and everyday experiences, with an emphasis on creating music that can connect with listeners.
