This is the Mambo Legends Orchestra. This is salsa— the culmination of Afro-Cuban music, mambo, and Latin jazz, born in New York and raised by those of us who have spent our lives playing it. These are raised by those of us who have spent our lives playing it. These are the sounds that traveled the world – on ships from the islands to the cities, carried by those who came before us, and passed from one generation to the next in their rhythms and melodies. This music has been part of our lives for as long as we can remember, and now, we’re playing it for you. This album brings together some of the world’s foremost maestros of this music. — Jose Madera (Full personnel list included on Press Release in Dropbox)
