Bob Gross’ current single, “Love and Affection”, combines a jazz shuffle groove with a soulful R&B-like vocal, complete with solos on keyboards and guitar. Vocalist Michael Tillman sings lead, with backups by Gross and Ashley Rosa. Bassist Lavon Rushing, guitarist Zachary Harriott, and drummer Gerald Law II round out the supporting cast. Gross’ previous efforts include his 2022 album release, Second Time Around, which featured an all-star cast, including Najee, Brian Bromberg, Marion Meadows, Nick Colionne, Andrew Neu, Ramon Stagnaro, David Cullen, Nick Lane, Michael Stever, Lil’ John Roberts, Lenny Castro, and Anne Walsh.
